Richard Travaglini ’78

You may not recognize Rich in the chapter photos taken between 1975 and 1978, because he had hair. He transferred to Temple in the fall of 1975, and was placed with Peabody Hall RA Dean Sizemore, who persuaded him to pledge Pi Lam. Rich’s key contributions as an undergrad were to serve as scribe, and re-create the painted Pi Lam logo on the sidewalk in front of 2000 N. Broad St. While he’s been a regular at Kovner dinners and has been a Temple season ticket holder for the past 10 years, this is the first time he’s had the honor of serving the chapter. He lives with his wife, Sharon, in Havertown, PA. His daughter, Hannah, graduated from Temple Law School in 2021. She practices law and does stand-up comedy in Philadelphia. His son, Graham, and daughter-in-law Michaela are attorneys too. The prospects of Rich winning another family argument in his lifetime are woefully slim. He plans on winding down his marketing career sometime in 2024.
