Bob Pennock ’11 – Returned to his Temple roots

Bob recently came full circle, returning to his alma mater as a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Temple University. He didn’t list it on his resume, but he learned more about engineering by stacking discarded red Solo cups than anything he learned in class. T for Temple U!
John Geary ’21 – Count de Money!

Snaps to John, who started a new position as an Investment Banking Associate at SSG Capital Advisors LLC. According to AI, people in his position oversee, check, and refine the work of junior analysts while driving project management for M&A, debt, and equity transactions. According to everyone else, they make bank. Spread it around, bro.
Chris Laskey ’97 – Modern day Insurance monarch

Chris is creating his own insurance empire, opening a second Insurance Agency. He recently announced, “Laskey Financial will focus on helping individuals, families, and small businesses protect what matters most through life, health, accident, long-term care, and Medicare coverage.”
Jake Strasser ’24 – Knows public affairs

Recent alumni, Jake was recently featured by Temple’s Klein College of Media and Communication for his work at Citizens Bank as a public affairs coordinator! In this role, Strasser manages relationships between Citizens Bank and nonprofits, community stakeholders, and local government. Congrats, brother!
Mark Levin ’86 – Salary cap guru

A trusted resource in the “moneyball” game of player contracting, Mark recently retired from the NFL Players Association to start his own agency. He was recently featured on the Pi Lambda Phi HQ website.

The New Wave Cafe a bar in Philly’s Queen Village, co-owned by Nate, has been a staple of the community for over 35 years. The bar was recently featured by Philly blogger Kelly McShain.

Eric Weinstein ’13 | January 16, 2025

Eric was a re-founding brother of the PA Alpha Delta Chapter (pictured here first row, far right). He attended college for music education at Temple, and later at Montclair State University where he graduated with his BA in 2015. He passed away unexpectedly due to complications from a glioblastoma brain tumor. #BMF
Marvin Black ’54 | August 30, 2024

Marv Black was a WWII US Navy veteran who participated in the invasion of Okinawa. He last attended the Kovner Banquet in 2017, where he presented the Kovner Memorial Award. Typical of his generation, he was very humble about his wartime experiences, but shared some of his memories later in life.

Arnie (pictured right) served as the Chapter Advisor from 1999 to 2000. He loved Pilam and was a revered attorney in Philadelphia who was respected for his expertise, passion to win, and sharp wit.
